About Us

I was born Eddie Vernon Washington; your typical shy Mamma's boy who developed a keen interest in writing poetry around the age of eleven. I come from a large family of ten siblings and being the youngest was for the most part raised by my widowed mother and a cast of many and to include my older brothers and sisters as well as the surrounding community.

I was born in Camden Mississippi and moved to Gary, Indiana at the age of ten, where I attended Lincoln Elementary and graduated from Tolleston High.

I am a veteran of the US Army where I served for three years. I completed my basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood Missouri and completed my advanced training as a Nike Missile Technician at Huntsville Alabama, formally known as Redstone Arsenal.

I have written possibly more than fifty poems of which half have been lost due to sharing with others or simply misplaced over time.

One of the poems you will find in my library can also be found in the National Library Of Poetry. That particular poem (The Root) was entered into a contest and even though it did not win first prize it was considered a keeper.

I originally started to compile a book of poetry but decided that by creating VerseNFrame I could express my verbal art enhanced by visual art. Please feel free to constructively critique, and most of all, may you find some of my work to your highest satisfaction.

E. V. Washington
